Travel from London to York by rail for an independent day in one of England's historic cities. The package includes return train travel and a hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus ticket. Use the bus to connect different parts of the city while audio commentary introduces its Roman, Viking and medieval past. You choose where to get off and how to spend your time. The rail journey is unescorted. Attraction admissions are separate, so plan any additional visits around your train times.
Arrive in York and begin exploring with the included sightseeing bus. Stops provide access to different landmarks and areas of the city, with multilingual commentary on board. Explore medieval streets such as the Shambles, look out for Clifford's Tower and discover the city's surviving gates and walls. Museum Gardens offers a riverside place to pause between sights. Return to the bus when you are ready to continue, then allow time to reach York station for the London train. Entry to individual attractions is not included in the rail package.

Your electronic tickets and vouchers will be sent to you one week prior to your scheduled departure date via email (or, if booked within one week then within 24 hours of booking). Outbound: Train departs London King's Cross at 9:00am and arrives into York at 10:51am. Please arrive at London King's Cross station 30 minutes before departure of your train. Return: Train departs York at 5:58pm and arrives back at London King's Cross at 7:56pm. We recommend arriving at York station 20 minutes prior to departure
