Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Paris

We start our 3 day tour from your chosen UK departure point.  We travel to Paris by modern executive coach with one of our friendly drivers and our experienced Paris guide.  Our journey includes a short sea crossing, from where you can usually see the famous White Cliffs and Dover Castle, as we sail towards France.

On arrival in Paris we drive straight to the Eiffel Tower and begin our tour with a boat cruise on the spectacular river Seine which starts and ends at the Eiffel Tower (where we have time for a photo).  We then re-join the coach for a guided coach panoramic tour of Paris.  At the end of the coach tour our driver will take us directly to our 3 star hotel right in the centre of Paris.

On the coach tour we drive past the Arc de Triomphe and down the Champs Elysées to Place de la Concorde. The coach then takes you to see La Madeleine (the church dedicated to Mary Magdalene) before driving by the stunning Opera Garnier and on to the world famous Louvre Museum passing by the pyramids.  We then drive along the Seine passing Hotel de Ville before arriving at the hotel.  Photo stops will be planned by the guide where possible.

During the evening, you will have the option to join your guide for dinner in a nearby local restaurant.  This is a great opportunity to try the local food, whilst getting to know your fellow travellers (food and drink is extra).

Day 2 - Paris sightseeing

After breakfast, meet the guide at 09.00am for a full day of sightseeing.  The first stop is Montmartre for the Sacre Coeur, Place du Tertre and Moulin Rouge. Then on to Ille de la Cite and the world famous Notre Dame Cathedral, with time for lunch and shopping on the banks of the Seine.

In the afternoon you can join the optional Half day trip to Versailles or enjoy a free afternoon in Paris.  Free time for shopping in Opera in the department stores Galeries Lafayette or Printemps, see the Opera Garnier (entrance charge), visit the food shops Hediard or Fauchon, or maybe enjoy tea and macaroons at La Duree.  Or perhaps return to the Eiffel Tower and climb to the top for a stunning view of this beautiful city.

Half day trip to the Palace of Versailles – £45 – Access to the gardens is free of charge, except for Fountain Show and Musical Gardens days (from April to October).

A fully guided half day coach tour to the stunning Palace of Versailles.  Built in the 17th century during the reign of Louis XIV to project the absolute power of the French monarchy, it served as the political capital and royal court for over 100 hundred years, until in 1789 the revolutionary mobs massacred the Palace Guard and dragged Louis XVI and Marie-Antionette to Paris to cut off their heads!  Undoubtedly the grandest and most famous chateau in France.

Price includes coach and entry to the Palace (please note entry to the Gardens now costs 8/9 euros extra, pay on arrival).  For all customers who choose this option the coach will stop at the Eiffel Tower on the return to Paris from Versailles.  You will then have free time to climb the Tower in the evening before returning to the hotel by metro. Alternatively, you may wish to do your own sightseeing.  The All Season Paris Bercy is so central sightseeing on your own is a very simple option, and our guide is there to help you.

Easter/July/August/Christmas Tours – £65 – Day trip to Disneyland Paris.

Price includes transfers to and from Disneyland Paris and a one day Hopper Pass allowing entry to both parks.

Evening free to enjoy the Paris nightlife.  From our hotel Bercy metro station is a one minute walk, and all areas of Paris City centre are easily accessible in minutes by metro.

Day 3 - Louvre Museum

A morning coach excursion to the Louvre Museum (entry not included, free on the first Sunday of every month) and your chance to see the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, Michelangelo’s Dying Slave or to follow the trail of the Da Vinci Code! We depart Paris after lunch for the journey to Calais for our return ferry.

Thank you so much for arranging this tour, I have really enjoyed the weekend in Paris and our guide Nelson was so kind and patient.
James Redmore, New York

I would like to thank you for the fabulous 3 day tour of Paris that I have just completed. The tour was very well organised and the entire trip was very professional. I cannot speak highly enough of the tour guide, Andrew, or the driver, Steve. Andrew has a great knowledge of history and facts and ensured we were well informed at all times. Steve’s driving skills are very impressive and I am sure everyone on board felt safe in his capable hands. Well done guys. I will look forward to another tour on my next trip.

What meals are included?

Breakfast is included on all overnight tours.  Lunches are not included, unless otherwise stated.  Evening meals are included when stated on the tour itinerary.  On tours of seven days or more, generally fifty percent of dinners are included.  Please check the itinerary page for exact details.

Where does the trip depart from?

Each UK trip will have a dedicated pick up point in central London.  Shorter duration trips will normally depart from Victoria Coach Station, with longer duration trips leaving from the London Reception Centre, near to Waterloo train station.  Departure points will be confirmed before booking a tour.

Can I get picked up from my hotel?

Pick up from hotels is not possible.  You will need to make your own way to the departure point.  However some tours do have a designated hotel departure, which you can stay in prior to the trip.  Please ask at time of booking for departure points and we can direct you to local hotels.

Are entrance fees included?

Entrance fees are included where specified on the itinerary.

Can I pay in dollars?

All tours are quoted and charged in pounds sterling, but you can pay using your local card and currency.  We will debit the card in pounds sterling and your bank will use their exchange rate at that time to deduct the amount in your local currency.

What time does the trip leave and return?

Departure times will vary depending on the itinerary.  European tours departing from London will usually leave between 05.00am and 07.00am.  Multi day UK tours will leave between 06.00am and 07:30am.  Day trips will depart between 07.00am and 09.00am.  European and worldwide tours that start in an overseas city will have a welcome reception on day one of the tour which is usually around 18.00pm.

Return times vary depending on the itinerary.  All the full day coach tours should be finished by no later than 19.00pm, traffic permitting.  The train tours return between 20.00pm and 22.00pm.  Longer duration trips will return between 16.00pm and 19.00pm.  All times will be confirmed at time of booking.

Is this a definite/guaranteed departure?

A definite departure is guaranteed to operate for that given departure date.  A trip that is not yet designated a definite departure is not yet guaranteed to operate based on current booking numbers.  If a trip and departure date you are interested in is not yet definite, do not let this discourage you from booking.  The more paid passengers received, the odds of the trip operating increase.  In the slim case that the operator withdraw a trip you are booked on due to a lack of numbers, you are entitled to a full refund of any funds already paid towards the tour, or if flexible with your time, we can move you onto another departure.

Who travels on these tours, who else is booked?

Whilst we can not confirm exactly who else is booked on a tour, we can guarantee you will be travelling with fellow liked minded travelers who share a passion for travel, fun, adventure and discovery.  All tours will be run by English speaking guides and age ranges will vary.  The beauty of taking a guided holiday is you’ll have the opportunity to meet and travel with people from all over the globe.

Are transfers included from the airport?

In general, if you are joining or departing your guided holiday on the first or last day, return transfers between the airport and hotel are included (excludes itineraries starting and/or ending in London).  You’ll find specific information on the itinerary’s page.

What optional excursions can I do and can I book them now?

Optional experiences are available on some tours.  These are activities that are not automatically included, but offered during your trip to enhance your travel experience.  These are all bookable whilst on the tour via your tour guide/travel director.  These are payable by cash or card.
