Day 1 London – Stonehenge –
Salisbury – Plymouth
A warm welcome from our Tour Director as we set off via Hampton Court
and then across Salisbury Plain to ancient Stonehenge. Next, we view
Salisbury Cathedral with time to stop for lunch before passing Exeter.
Then on to Plymouth, where later, we enjoy a welcome drink with our
Tour Director. (D)
Day 2 Plymouth – Bath – Bristol
Today's morning drive skirts the Dartmoor National Park and takes us
through Somerset to Glastonbury to visit the Abbey ruins. Then we're
off to historic Bath where an orientation tour includes a visit to the
Roman Baths. From here we continue to our hotel in Bristol. (FB)
 Day
3 Bristol – Coventry – Stratford – Kenilworth
We enjoy a morning scenic drive through the heart of the Cotswolds before
arriving at Coventry to see its two Cathedrals. From here we're off
to Stratford-upon-Avon where we visit Shakespeare's birthplace and drive
past Anne Hathaway's cottage. Finally, we arrive at our hotel in pretty
Kenilworth. (FB)
Day 4 Kenilworth – Wedgwood
– Lake District – Durham
Our first stop today is at the Wedgwood Pottery Centre. Then into the
English Lake District and on to picturesque Windermere. A chance to
enjoy the views before driving across the Yorkshire Dales to Durham.
Here an orientation tour shows us the Cathedral and University buildings.
We continue to our hotel for dinner tonight. (FB D)
Day 5 Durham – York – London
This morning we travel south to Viking York where our Tour Director
takes us on a walking tour through York's medieval streets to the 'Shambles'.
Then time at leisure to visit the Minster and shop for last-minute souvenirs
before returning to London. (FB)
