Day 1 London - Selby
Our day begins with a drive through Cotswold villages to Stratford-upon-Avon
where orientation reveals its Elizabethan charm. Then to Coventry to
view the old and new Cathedrals standing side by side. On through the
Midlands into Yorkshire and dinner at our hotel in Selby. D
Day
2 Selby - Edinburgh (Queensferry) (2)
A short drive brings us to York, where an orientation stroll includes
the famous Minster and picturesque 'Shambles'. Then we pass Hadrian's
Wall and ruined Jedburgh Abbey en route to the Scottish capital, Edinburgh.

Day 3 Edinburgh at leisure
Our morning sightseeing shows us the Royal Mile, Princes Street and
views the castle. Perhaps visit Holyrood House, where Mary Queen of
Scots lived. B
Day 4 Edinburgh (Queensferry) -
Fort William
Today we travel via Stirling, with its imposing castle. Then along the
bonnie banks of Loch Lomond to Glencoe, Vale of Weeping, to Fort William
in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. B D
Day 5 Fort William - Isle of Skye
- Pitlochry
Today in the shadow of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest peak, we head towards
the Kyle of Lochalsh, and cross 'over the sea to Skye'. On through to
Invermorriston on the banks of Loch Ness, then past Blair Atholl to
the Highland town of Pitlochry for the night. B D
Day 6 Pitlochry - Glasgow
Southwards via Perth, we reach the University town of St. Andrews. Here
we see the famous Golf Course before making our way to Glasgow for the
night. B
Day 7 Glasgow - Wigan (2)
Today, through scenic countryside to Gretna Green, wedding venue for
runaway lovers. Then south into England towards the breathtaking mountains
of the Lake District. Tonight, dinner is at our Wigan hotel. CB D
Day 8 Chester and North Wales
Excursion First to Chester, where orientation shows us the arcaded 'Rows'.
Then into the hills and valleys of North Wales. Over the Horseshoe pass,
we arrive in Llangollen, home of the Music Eisteddfod, before returning
to Wigan for the night. B D
Day 9 Wigan - Dublin (2)
Along the Welsh Coast via Colwyn Bay, skirting the Snowdonia National
Park, to Caernarvon. Here we view the castle where the Prince of Wales
was invested, before crossing to the island of Anglesey. We board our
ferry at Holyhead to Ireland. On arrival it's a short drive to the 'fair
city' Dublin. B
Day 10 Dublin at leisure
Our morning sightseeing features Trinity College, St. Patrick's Cathedral,
historic Phoenix Park, the Four Courts and more. The rest of the day
is at leisure. B
Day 11 Dublin - Sligo (2)
This morning we head north-westward to follow the Royal Canal to Mullingar.
Then on to Boyle to view the 12th century Cistercian Abbey ruins. Later,
lush green Irish countryside rolls by on our approach to Sligo Bay.

Day 12 Northern Ireland and Donegal
Today we travel along the coast to the seaside resort of Bundoran in
Co. Donegal. Then across the border into Northern Ireland to visit the
famous Beleek pottery centre, continuing along the shores of Lough Erne
to the town of Enniskillen before returning through beautiful countryside
to our hotel in Sligo. B D
Day 13 Sligo - Ennis (2)
Enjoy a morning drive through the region of Connemara, stopping at Kylemore
Abbey. Then across County Clare en route to Galway Bay. We stop in Galway
before reaching the pretty village of Ennis. B D
Day 14 Ennis - Excursion to The
Burren
We begin our day with a drive to view the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher.
From O'Brien's Tower, we can see the Aran Islands, (weather permitting),
at the entrance to Galway Bay. We return to Ennis for the evening. B
Day 15 Ennis - Waterville
After stopping to view the thatched cottages of Adare, we head for County
Kerry. Timefor a stop in Killarney beforewe enjoy the first half of
our Kerry drive along Dingle Bay, Ryan's Daughter country, to Waterville.

Day 16 Waterville - Waterford
Our first stop is at Blarney Castle where we have a chance to acquire
the 'gift of the gab'. Then through Cork and along the coast to Waterford,
home of the famous crystal for the night. B D
Day 17 Waterford - Swansea (2)
We travel to Rosslare this morning for our ferry crossing to Wales.
We arrive at Pembroke then on to Swansea for two nights. B D
Day 18 Valleys and Mountains of
South Wales excursion
We begin our day in the Welsh capital, Cardiff for an orientation tour
and a chance to visit the castle. Then into the Rhonddha, most famous
of the Welsh Valleys where old mining towns are packed into narrow cracks
in the mountains. Next we head into the stark beauty of the Brecon Beacons
National Park and finally return to our hotel in Swansea. B D
Day 19 Swansea - Barnstaple
Today we cross the Severn Bridge to Bath. Here orientation reveals its
Georgian architecture. We continue to King Arthur's Glastonbury. Then
on through 'Lorna Doone's' Exmoor to our hotel in Barnstaple. B D
Day 20 Barnstaple - Plymouth
Through beautiful Devon countryside into rugged Cornwall and the artists
colony of St. Ives. Then via Penzance to view St. Michael'sMount, we
return past Bodmin to our overnight hotel in Plymouth. B
Day 21 Plymouth - London
Our first stop today is at the mysterious monoliths of Stonehenge on
Salisbury Plain, then to the city of Salisbury with its grand Cathedral
before returning to London. B
