Day 1: Paris Guided Tour of Le Louvre and Saint Sulpice
Check in at Waterloo International by 6.30am for your Eurostar train ride to Paris. You will be met in Paris by a local expert guide for a private guided tour.
The da Vinci Code", the controversial thriller by Dan Brown starts in Paris, and the first half of the novel takes place on the City of Lights. With your private guide, you will retrace Robert Langdon and Sophie Neveus footsteps as they decipher clues hidden in Leonardo do Vincis Masterpieces. After a visit to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, we head to the Grande Galerie du Musee du Louvre, where fictional curator Jacques Sauniere was murdered. your guided tour to the museum will examine works of art such as the Mona Lisa & The Virgin of the Rocks by Leonardo da Vinci as you search for hidden clues within his art that may lead to the location of the Holy Grail- can it be found in Peis inverted pyramid?
Then we head by metro and on foot through the heart of Paris to the Saint-Sulpice Church to see the Arago plaques that mark the Paris Rose Line, the north-south meridan line from which all east-west distances in France were measured until 1884. It was here that Silas searched in vain for the Keystone and Sister Sandrine subsequently met her fate.
The afternoon is free for you to explore Paris on your own before catching your 7.19pm train back to London
Day 2: London - Westminster Abbey and Temple Church
Upon arriving in London, Langdon and Neveu continue their search for the Holy Grail at Temple Church, a striking building built by the Knights Templar in 1185. Their path is blocked though, by Remy as he takes Teabing hostage beginning a race to get to Westminster Abbey. Our London da Vinci tour begins with an indepth look at the Church, followed by a walking and driving tour of London.
During the tour you will pass Regetns Park where the Teacher disposes of Remy, and Kings College where more clues are found. then its onto the Abbey itself for a comprehensive tour including a look at the tomb of Sir Isaac Newton where the true identity of the Teacher is discovered. |
