Explore the fairytale world of Hans Christian Andersen, visit the traditional Swedish Christmas market in Stockholm’s Old Town square, and shop for crafts in Copenhagen and Oslo. Unwind and allow Trafalgar’s experienced tour guides to lead you through the charming Scandinavian Christmas landscape.

CopenhagenDay 1 - Arrive Stockholm (3 nights)
You are met at Stockholm Airport and transferred to your hotel. Time to relax before meeting your Tour Director. (Dinner)

Days 2 & 3 - Stockholm sightseeing & Christmas markets
On our first morning our sightseeing tour features the Royal Palace and City Hall. The rest of your time is free to explore the city where the Nobel Prize is awarded in December, to wander the cobbled streets around the Cathedral or visit the 'Ostermalms Hallen' the indoor food market for a taste of Swedish Christmas specialities. Day 4 - Stockholm – Oslo (2 nights)
Today we travel along the King's road past Orebro and via Karlstad on Lake Vänern crossing the border into Norway. Soon we are in its capital Oslo where we spend two nights. (Scandinavian Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 5 - Oslo sightseeing & at leisure
Morning sightseeing reveals the square with its Old Cathedral and Royal Palace, before we visit the Vigeland Sculpture Park. Next, we visit the modern City Hall with its beautiful frescoes. Enjoy the wintry landscapes of this city, and perhaps take an excursion to the Holmenkollen ski-jump.

Day 6 - Oslo – At Sea
Time for shopping before our overnight cruise to Copenhagen, in Denmark, over the Oslofjord and the North Sea. (Scandinavian Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 7 - At Sea – Copenhagen (2 nights)
We disembark in Copenhagen, where sightseeing includes the Amalienborg and Christiansborg Palaces and more. Guarding the harbour we see the Little Mermaid – the statue inspired by Hans Christian Anderson's sad fairytale. Then free time in this city with its Christmas illuminations.

Day 8 - Roskilde & the Viking Ships Museum Excursion
With our local guide, we visit Roskilde Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We also visit the Viking Ships Museum before time at leisure to enjoy the festive Christmas atmosphere. Tonight, why not join your fellow travellers for a special Christmas dinner in one of the city's charming restaurants?

Day 9 - Depart Copenhagen
Farewell as we transfer you to the airport for your return flight home. (Scandinavian Breakfast)
