visit the Roman Baths and Museum and Pump Rooms and
explore Bath at your leisure. Sample the spring
waters, explore the paved passages, narrow streets
and quaint shops. Maybe enjoy lunch in one of the
many excellent pubs and restaurants or enjoy a
picnic by the rushing waters of the Weir and River
Avon. We spend well over 3 hrs in Bath so plenty of
time enjoy this beauiful city, a living
museum.
Castle
Combe
Afterwards,
we enjoy a scenic drive through the leafy lanes of
the Cotwolds to visit idyllic Castle Combe, voted
the "prettiest village in England". Explore this
unspoilt village with its quaint cottages, and
rushing stream. Savour the peaceful atmosphere of
an age long gone and maybe enjoy a pint of
traditional ale or a cream tea in an old English
inn.
Lacock
We also
visit the medieval village of Lacock which has
hardly changed in the past 200 years. With its
magnificent abbey, half timbered cottages and
greystone houses it recently provided the perfect
setting for the filming of Janes Austen's "Pride
and Prejudice"
.
