Stonehenge, Roman Bath, Salisbury OR Longleat
Stonehenge dates back to 2200 BC, and its giant stones and ditches are surrounded by an atmosphere of awe. Theories of sun-worship and mystical druids abound, but no one really knows why this ancient monument was constructed.

Bath is a city of contrasts; the Baths of the Roman city, 2000 years old and still bubbling today, the medieval Abbey and the Georgian squares and crescents. Bath also boasts first-class shops and boutiques.
Finally either Longleat House - the first truly magnificent Elizabethan mansion built in Italian Renaissance style, or Salisbury, with its Gothic cathedral whose 404 foot spire appears to soar out of the surrounding meadows.
