Hello Lisa....
Thank you for the note asking for our feedback. We had an amazing morning with Damon, our superb guide and driver, and went to all the places that we were interested in, and saw more than we thought we would. Greg and I, although from Australia, live here in London and our friends who joined us for the day are also Australians and were here on holiday, so it made it a very special day. We have many visitors, both family and friends, and apart from recommending your company to other friends here in the UK., we WILL be doing this day out with you again when more friends come.
In other words, we had a wonderful day and look forward to many more like that with your company.
With very best regards
Crystal and Greg Lockhart

'Celtic Explorer' King Arthur Overnight Tour
Visit locations such as: Winchester, Old Sarum Castle, Salisbury, King Arthur's Avalon, Glastonbury Tor and Abbey, Chalice Well Gardens, Wells Cathedral, Stonehenge and Avebury stone circle.
This tour gives you the opportunity to explore some of England's most ancient and intriguing monuments and includes an overnight stay in Glastonbury - the reputed burial place of King Arthur.
The tour first visits Winchester - the capital of Wessex. This city is home to the Winchester Round Table , which is kept in Castle Hall. This table is believed to have been the table of King Arthur's court.
The tour then proceeds to Salisbury which is justly famous for it's magnificent cathedral, which has the longest spire of any in the country at a total of 104m high. You will visit the gothic Chapter House, the resting place of one of the last remaining copies of the Magna Carta, signed by King John in 1215 and also a unique carved frieze from the 1280's that tells the story of Genesis to Exodus.
The tour then visits the most famous prehistoric monument in the world - Stonehenge. This structure remains one of the great unsolved unsolved mysteries of the world. Some of the stones weigh over 50 tonnes and transported from the Preseli Mountains in Wales. Although the reasons behind Stonehenge remain shrouded in mystery many experts now believe it is a monument for astronomy. Come and marvel at this remarkable feat of ancient engineering.
We then visits Old Sarum Castle the ruins of which cover 56 acres and include huge ramparts and earthworks. It was first an Iron Age hill fort , later being inhabited by Romans, Saxons and Normans. Old Sarum was the site of the original castle, church and settlement of Salisbury. Legend has it that the Bishop shot an arrow - the place where it landed was where the new cathedral was to be built and the town of Salisbury grew up around the cathedral.
The tour then visits the village of Avebury which gives its name to one of the greatest stone circles in the United Kingdom. Mostly dating back from 2,600 - 2,500 B.C, Avebury covers approximately 28 acres and comprises of a huge circular earthwork ditch and banks about a quarter of a mile on diameter which enclose an outer of standing stones.
Wells is known as England's smallest city and is situated at the foot of the Mendip Hills. The real treasure of the city is the twelfth century cathedral which was the residence of the Bishop of the Diocese of Bath and Wells. The cathedral also provides the cities Arthurian connection - Mr William Hughes (Chancellor of Wells Cathedral in the early 18th century) was the last known possessor of the burial cross that was allegedly dug up at Glastonbury Abbey in 1191.
We then proceed to Glastonbury where we will reside for the night. This gives us the chance to explore the Abbey which is set in 36 acres of beautiful park land in the centre of the ancient market town of Glastonbury. It is traditionally the first Christian Sanctuary in Great Britain and many believe that the Holy Thorn Tree that can be seen in the grounds originated from the staff of Joseph of Arimathea. Others are convinced that King Arthur was buried here alongside his wife Queen Guinevere.
