Brighton, Hever Castle & Winnie The Pooh Country
This tour heads due South of London and begins at Hever Castle. A Romantic, moated 13th century castle - once the home of Anne Boleyn - set in award-winning gardens. The castle contains many Tudor artefacts, paintings and other objects. A recently added exhibition of Anne Boleyn's Books of Hours, as well as the 'Queen's Chamber' is also of interest. The gardens include the Italian, Tudor and Rose Gardens as well as topiary, 110 metre herbaceous border, yew maze and water maze. |

Afterwards, a scenic drive through the rolling hills of the Ashdown Forest, once a royal hunting ground, taking us to Hartfield. This beautiful part of England was the inspiration and home of the Winnie-the-Pooh Stories by A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard. A unique opportunity to tour Pooh Country.
After seeing Chartwell House, home of Winston Churchill we head for Brighton .......
Brighton is the most enchanting, exciting, extraordinary seaside city in Britain. However brazen that may sound, it is no exaggeration. With its cosmopolitan air, oodles of restaurants, feverish nightlife and abundance of culture, the place defies comparison with anywhere else this side of the English Channel. For centuries it has been regarded as a 'pleasure dome', and that's not about to change.
If you love life, you'll love Brighton.
Stroll along the regency seafront and pleasure pier and maybe enjoy a 'fish and chip' lunch by the sea. Wander around 'The Lanes' (a maze of narrow streets and alleyways just off the seafront). Our guide will take you onto the Royal Pavillion -They are just four ways in which, over the years, people have tried to describe the Royal Pavilion. we say 'tried' because King George IV's former seaside residence literally beggars all description. To call it Brighton's answer to the Taj Mahal simply isn't enough. With its riot of onion domes and minarets, its blend of refined Indian architecture and opulent Chinese interiors, the palace is nothing short of an exotic feast for the senses, a mouth-watering masala to be savoured with relish.
