" Just a quick note to let you know that yesterday was a great success, and that Ian your driver was great, so thank you very much."

This lovely tour is a voyage of discovery into social traditions, the English language, and some hidden parts of the city - using a variety of fascinating pubs, inns and taverns as focal points en route.
London Pub Tour Discover why we say we'll take someone "down a peg or two", where the term "honeymoon" comes from, what the English pub signs and names really mean and why we drink our beer warm! Visit pubs where the condemned took their last drink. See where the Pilgrim Fathers, Charles Dickens, Dr. Johnson and even Shakespeare supped and dined.
We can usually visit 4 or 5 pubs almost always including The Anchor, The George Inn, The Mayflower and many times the Olde Cheshire Cheese. We pass the Prospect of Whitby and several others explaining the history and development of pubs and their role in British society
You'll have an opportunity of sampling a glass or two of English ale, BUT please note, this is not a drinking tour. It is a tour through London's social history.
We'll even find time for a traditional newspaper full of fish 'n' chips
