Tour Itinerary - 4 Day Dash & Beach
In a hurry? Don't want to take much time off work? Then dash to Pamps for the opening and back! Our short tour is based at Zarautz on the magnificent northern Spanish coast and being only an hour from Pamplona it is an action packed few days with the bulls and sangria - with the added bonus of staying right on the beach! We depart London early on Thursday July 5th having you there in Pamplona for the big opening ceremony on the 6th. We run the bulls the next morning on the 7th, then relax on the beach, head into San Sebastian before returning to London on the Sunday afternoon. Work on Monday??
Day 1 - Thursday 5th July 2007
Depart london
Check in 06.30am, Paddington Station, Eastbourne Terrace. 07.00am depart for Dover ferry. Early afternoon ferry Dover to Calais. Once in France we take a leisurely drive south, through the Loire Valley towards sunny Spain. All our coaches are full executive, complete with stereo, video and toilet.
Day 2 - Friday 6th July 2007
San Fermin Opening Day – Straight into the Party!!
We arrive at our camp in Zarautz just around dawn. Check into your pre-erected tents, have an early breakfast and ready yourself for one of the biggest party days of your life. Zarautz is a ritzy northern Spanish coastal town, only 15km west of San Sebastian, about 85 km from Pamplona. The campground has good facilities including its own bar, shop, and restaurant – AND best of all, it is right besides a long fabulous beach! After breakfast we head straight into Pamplona to position ourselves for the amazing midday champagne opening ceremony. It is wild, crazy and quite unbelievable - a true Spanish fiesta begins!!!! Our coaches take you back to camp early or late evening - either head back early and join the PP Crew at the bars of Zarautz or stay in Pamplona longer to party.
Day 3 - Saturday 7th July 2007
Running of the bulls and Beach day and Departure
Feeling brave? You’ll need to be as it’s a 5.15am wake up call to head into town for the first running - as always - on the 7th of the 7th. After the run we return to the coast for breakfast. You can then spend the rest of the day on the beach at Zarautz relaxing, or maybe catch the local train to San Sebastian to check out the sights and delights. Our coaches depart from Zarautz at 8.00pm pick up from San Sebastian then drive back up through France through the night.
Day 4 - Sunday 8th July 2007
Back To London
We catch a morning ferry back to Dover then drive on to London, arriving back at Paddington late afternoon.
