San Fermin - The Running Of The Bulls Pamplona

Tour Itinerary - 8 Day Beach + Pamps

You can now combine the best of an 8 day beach break and the crazy party magic of Pamplona with our special "Beach 'n Pamps" tour. We are based at Zarautz on the magnificent northern Spanish coast giving you the added bonus of staying right on the beach! We depart on July 2nd giving us a full day on the coast and taking in a day trip to San Sebastian and an orientation of Pamplona city, before the big opening ceremony on the 6th. We run the bulls the next two mornings, all before having you back in London on July 9th.

Camping Tali Mendi, Zarautz

Our Beach Tour is based at Camping Tali Mendi, in the coastal resort town of Zarautz (also known as Zarauz), approximately 75 minutes travel time from Pamplona. It also has fine facilities and is only a few hundred metres from the beach. It is in a lovely spot with sweeping views of both the ocean and surrounding mountains.

Day 1 - Monday 2nd July 2007
Depart London
Check in 10.30am, Paddington Station, Eastbourne Terrace for an 11.00pm departure for Dover. Early afternoon ferry Dover to Calais. Once in France we take a leisurely drive south, through the Loire Valley towards sunny Spain. All our coaches are full executive, complete with stereo, video and toilet.

Day 2 - Tuesday 3rd July 2007
Introducing Sun and Sand....
We arrive at our campground in Zarautz mid-morning giving you the whole day to shake off the London blues! Our camping ground - with pre-erected tents - is beside the beach. Zarautz is a ritzy northern Spanish coastal town, only 20km west of San Sebastian. The campground has good facilities including its own bar, shop, and restaurant. After a lazy day on the beach, the party begins this evening as we hit Zarautz’s many lively tapas bars.

Day 3 - Wednesday 4th July 2007
San Sebastian Tour
After breakfast today we take you to the Basque capital - San Sebastian - one of Spain’s premier beach resorts. As well as taking in the sights you could also hit one or two of the city’s 400 tapas bars. We then head back to Zarautz for another big night, or you can choose to stay and party in San Sebastian, making your own way back to camp.

Day 4 - Thursday 5th July 2007
Pamps orientation and traditional Cider Evening
After breakfast today we will take you into Pamplona - a day before the craziness begins - so you can really get to know the city. You will have free time to check out the Bull Run route, the bullring and the city's hundreds of bars! Back at Zarautz you can either chill out back at camp this evening or join an *optional traditional Basque Evening. Just a short drive from our campsite we visit a local cider house where you will be provided with a four course meal and unlimited traditional cider!*The optional cider evening is not included in the tour price and costs 35€.

Day 5 - Friday 6th July 2007
Opening Day
Now the serious fun starts! We head into Pamplona with plenty of time to get your position for the traditional midday champagne opening ceremony. After that the fiesta begins - look out its sangria time! Enjoy the rest of the day partying with the locals - the atmosphere is unbelievable. We have 2 pickup times to go back to camp – go back early, clean up and hit the local bars with our Crew or stay in Pamplona and party with the locals.

Day 6 - Saturday 7th July 2007
First running of the Bulls!
Feeling brave? You’ll need to be as it’s a 5.15am wake up call to head into town for the first running - as always - on the 7th of the 7th. After the run you can either remain in Pamplona to party through the day or head back to the coast to recover on the beach. We offer continental breakfast and you can have as much as you like! Coach’s head back into Pamps at 3 and 5pm, for a big night at the fiesta, returning later in the night.

Day 7 - Sunday 8th July 2007
Running of the bulls
Here we go again! Up early for another bash at those bulls. Wrecked??… then maybe sleep in and hit the beach early. We will again be serving a late breakfast, before departing Zarautz late afternoon, for the drive back up through France to Calais.
