Amsterdam is always a great short break destination. Our special
weekend tours to Amsterdam are typically one big, organised party. Staying in the heart of the city we have organised the tour with stacks to do for those who want to stick together. Yet being so central it is ideal if you want to do your own thing.

Tour Itinerary - Easter Bank Holiday Weekend
Thursday 13 April 2006
Thursday evening after work depart Paddington for over night drive to Amsterdam.
Friday 14 April 2006
We arrive in Amsterdam first thing in the morning so we can make the most of our weekend in this beautiful, great fun city. After a brief city coach tour we arrive at the The Hans Brinker hostel which is located right in the centre of Amsterdam. You have the oppotunity to join us on a canal boat cruise or do your own thing. The hostel is wedged between two canals in the "Spiegelkwartier" ("Mirrorquarter"). This district is historically, and still is today, at the heart of local artistic life. The city park and the big museums (Rijks Museum, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum) are on a 5 minute walk from the hostel, and the neighbourhood is filled with galleries for both contemporary and antique arts. Down the street from the hostel is one of the three main shopping streets of Amsterdam: the Leidsestraat. Old buildings and shops that have been there for centuries, sit comfortably next to DKNY and MacDonalds and still retian their dignified look today. At the end of the Leidsestraat is the Leidseplein, with the City Theatre, cafe's, restaurants, the casino and three cinema's. The Leidseplein is also the home of the famous Bulldog Bar, Milky Way, Hard Rock Cafe and numerous "coffee shops". From this square you can take public transport to anywhere in Amsterdam. The Hans Brinker has a restaurant and a bar and has recently opened a new night-club slash media-lab.
Saturday 15 April 2006
Today is free to take in some of the hundreds of attractions Amsterdam has to offer, including the Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank's House, Van Gogh Museum, markets or maybe spend the day recovering in a cafe-bar or two. This evening we'll do a walking tour of the city's amazing red light district and experience a live sex show!! for those who dare.
Sunday 16 April 2006
Easter is tulip time in Holland so today we offer you the chance to experience the splendour of the tulips at the world famous Keukenhof tulip gardens and we provide the entrance cost. Or, if tulips aren't your scene, we'll be organising a bike ride out to the countryside visiting a few pubs along the way - and we supply the bikes! We'll have you back in town whichever outing you wish to go on in plenty of time for a last night out on the town.
Monday 17 April 2006
