Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Friday 5th October 2007
FERRY CROSSING
We depart from Eastbourne terrace by Paddington station at noon for an afternoon sailing from Dover to Calais. Once in France we take a leisurely drive through Belgium entering Germany in the wee hours. All our coaches are full executive, complete with video and loo.
Day 2 Saturday 6th October 2007
ARRIVAL IN MUNICH
Now the fun really starts. After arriving at the Munich camping ground "Thalkirchen" mid-morning you will be issued with your pre-erected tent and then you’ve got the day free to party. The Oktoberfest is already off and running, so after freshening up we head straight into the beerhalls and we’re away!!
Day 3 Sunday 7th October 2007
DACHAU, ANDECHS MONASTERY & BEERHALLS
After breakfast we take you on a very sobering experience: a tour of the infamous Dachau concentration camp, north of Munich. This was the first of its kind built by Hitler. In the afternoon we change the mood completely by taking you to the beautiful Andechs beer monastery - the home of the famous boch beer. Then it’s back to the beerhalls for the last night’s festivities. These excursions - like all our shuttles - are free.
Day 4 Monday 8th October 2007
MUNICH ... MORE BEER??
The Oktoberfest is not open today. So after breakfast you have time to explore Munich, or catch up on sleep. Maybe head to a permanent Beerhall for a final stein. We depart Munich early evening for a night drive back to the English Channel.
Day 5 Tuesday 9th October 2007
BACK TO LONDON
We catch a morning ferry back to the White Cliffs of Dover then on to London arriving back early afternoon.
